The Operating System for Motorsport Teams

Help & getting started

Guides for drivers, engineers, and admins — including how permissions and data access work in practice.

Creating your organisation

  • Go to Sign up and create your account with email and password.
  • Name your team or organisation — you become the admin automatically.
  • Core is enabled on a trial subscription. Add-on modules can be turned on from Management → Subscription.
  • If email confirmation is required, verify your email first, then sign in and return to Sign up to finish organisation setup if prompted.

Signing in

  • Use Log in with your team email and password.
  • If you see “Account not linked”, complete organisation setup at Sign up or ask your admin to add you in User Management.
  • Invited users must use the same email address their admin registered.

Event workspace

  • Open Event and select Championship → Event → Chassis.
  • Your selection is remembered on this device.
  • Runs, issues, setups, and tyres respect the chassis you have selected and your data access grants.

Permissions & data access

  • Org entitlements: which modules your organisation has purchased (Core + add-ons).
  • Feature groups: what each user can do in the app (view/edit setups, manage users, etc.).
  • Data groups: which championships, events, and chassis a user or team can see.
  • Non-admins have allow-only access — no grant means no data, enforced at the database level.
  • Admins have full visibility within their organisation for configuration and oversight.

For administrators

  • Management → Subscription: enable add-on modules.
  • Management → Users: assign feature groups and data groups, or grant admin role.
  • Management → Master data: championships, tracks, drivers, templates, and more.
  • Management → Events: create and configure events for your season.

Common questions

Why can I sign in but see no data?

You may lack data group or direct grants for that championship, event, or chassis. Ask your admin to assign the right data access group.

Why is a menu item missing?

Either the module is not enabled for your organisation, or your feature group does not include that permission.

How do I add a team member?

Create their login in Supabase Auth (or invite when available), add an organisation member with their email in User Management, then assign feature and data groups.

How is engineering data protected?

TrakOps uses allow-only Row Level Security. Non-admins cannot read or write data unless explicitly granted at championship, event, or chassis level — including inherited access through the data tree.
